Repentance Creek House
This project is a substantial re-build of an existing house in northern NSW with recycled timbers, solar photo voltaics, solar hot water, LED lighting, non-toxic paints and finishes. The house has passive solar performance with good levels of insulation and a polished concrete floor for thermal mass. Recycled Spotted Gum cladding in a high level bushfire zone was enabled by using an underlayer of fire-rated plasterboard. Sewage is treated on-site to secondary standard using a reed-bed system.
